Netflix dropped a brand new trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor this morning. The second season revamps the classic horror novel The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. And if this trailer is any indication of how the season will play out, I feel like we are in very good hands. The trailer dives deeper into the characters of the series, giving us a closer look at the story Mike Flanagan has weaved for us.

This time The Haunting of Bly Manor trailer opens with the young girl of the manor standing by a lake. Things get odd as the scene shifts and we see her place a gnarled mask onto an unknown person. She makes the remark that they need to come up with a story. But before we can get any more explanation as to what is going on, the scene shifts again. The trailer takes a turn straight into horror from here on out, bouncing us back and forth from character to character.

We do get a chance to see T’Nia Miller‘s character and her connection to the house. It turns out that she is having nightmares that belong to other people. But not just any people, dead people to be exact. And this house seems to have no shortage of dead people for Miller to dream about. The Haunting of Bly Manor trailer does everything it needs to do. It gets us excited for the new season. It has us asking nearly a million questions. And it has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the horror to hit.

The Haunting of Bly Manor will stalk into our homes on October 9, 2020 via Netflix.
