The Graham Norton Show had an interesting mix of characters on the couch this week.  Norton welcomed Gloria Estefan, Emilia Clarke and Phoebe Waller-Bridge from Solo: A Star Wars Story, and David Tennant.  We’re going to focus on the latter three and their tales of merchandise, auditions, insider information and Brad Pitt

David Tennant delighted the audience with a story about his insider knowledge of Jodie Whittaker being cast as Doctor Who, before anybody else knew.  He also discussed the fact that he is married to the daughter of another Doctor, and really likes his suit.   He always charms.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who you should know from the amazing and hilarious show of her own creation, Fleabag, also plays L3-37 in Solo: A Star Wars Story.  She gave the audience a taste of her intimate knowledge of all things Star Wars and her nerve-wracking audition for her role.

And, there’s the radiant Emilia Clarke.  She and Phoebe Waller-Bridge were so funny together, quipping back and forth throughout the interview.  She regaled the panel and the audience with tales of her mother’s penchant for Solo merch and practical jokes, and ‘the best night’ of her life with Hollywood royalty, Brad Pitt. Check it out.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will arrive in theaters May 25th, 2018.
