The Callisto Protocol is a horror sci fi survival game coming in 2022.

Horror fans it is time for us to head back to space! During The Game Awards 2020 we got a glimpse at an upcoming game from Striking Distance. The Callisto Protocol is a sci-fi space horror that looks to be taking place on a prison ship that has become overrun by aliens. When a prisoner awakes to an urgent message and a malfunctioning AI, things get spooky. It only gets worse when his cellmate turns out to be a terrifying alien type being! Not to mention it only seems like there are some pretty gnarly monsters awaiting us around every corner.

Creator Glen Schofield shared during the event that they are hoping that The Callisto Protocol will be one of the scariest games yet. It will be a third-person survival-horror experience. And if this is anything like other space horror games, I can only imagine just how terrifying this will be. Schofield was tasked last year with creating an original narrative experience within the PUBG universe. However, the trailer doesn’t provide us with enough information to know if this is that game. Regardless, we are beyond excited to dive into this horror adventure.

We don’t know too much about what will be happening, but we have quite a bit of time to learn more. Not sure just how terrifying The Callisto Protocol will be? Just check out the trailer below! It is set to release in 2022 for PC, XBox Series X and PlayStation 5.
