Dragon Age fans finally have something to get excited about! During The Game Awards 2020, BioWare gifted us a brand new trailer! The game was first announced during The Game Awards 2018, and then concept art was revealed during Gamescom 2020. BioWare is simply calling this new game, The Next Dragon Age. The trailer doesn’t show solid details, but it gives us a look at some new locations we will discover and the factions fighting by our side.

The Next Dragon Age trailer shows off familiar enemies like the Darkspawn while also showing off some new ones we will encounter. Solas himself also shows up concerning ideas that the dread wolf rises, suggesting he may be the game’s main antagonist. These ideas coincide with BioWare’s series of short stories that were released on Dragon Age day back on December 4, 2020. The short stories take place around the world of Thedas, including Grey Wardens, Crows and elves.
There is still a lot more we want and need to know surrounding The Next Dragon Age. While I would like to say that this trailer will do, for now, we all know that is a lie. Hopefully, BioWare is ready to show off even more concept art, story arcs and trailers over the next couple of months. No release date has been announced at this time.
