The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Prepare 4 launch. We finally have a teaser trailer for Marvel’s most anticipated 2025 release — The Fantastic Four: First Steps. I think I safely speak for the masses when I say most anticipated. In addition, the entertainment juggernaut also unleashed four new posters and five first-look images to whet and sate our appetites simultaneously.

A live audience and our core four basked in the glow of the trailer’s real-time debut at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, with the Saturn 5 rocket as the backdrop.

Welcome to the Family

Here’s a synopsis per Marvel Studios:

“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing — as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”

The Cast and Crew

The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. The rest of the cast includes Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles, Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich in unknown roles.

Matt Shakman directs from a script by Peter Cameron, Josh Friedman, Eric Pearson, Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan. Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis and Tim Lewis serve as executive producers, while Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, is a producer. Jack Kirby and Stan Lee created the Fantastic Four, which splashed onto the comic book scene in November 1961.
