Screaming Firehawks, as if a teaser and premiere date wasn’t enough, we’ve got gorgeous new photos for Season Six of The Expanse!
As we learned from NYCC 2021, the highly anticipated final season boasts six action-packed, thrilling episodes to be released every week. The series finale outing clocks in at a whopping 65 minutes, and short segments known as “X-Rays” are slated for streaming between new episodes.

Here’s a brief synopsis of Season Six per Amazon Prime’s press site:
The sixth and final season of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide.
Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run and hunted for betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.
You can see Filip at Ceres Station Port Authority in the images, and Bobbie and Avasarala are on Earth for an undisclosed mission. Amos is either rummaging through his belongings or packing while Drummer stares forlornly at her hand terminal.
While they don’t reveal much, it’s just lovely to see new footage from the upcoming season. I’m not ready for it to end, but I want to see my favorite Roci babies on screen again.
The Expanse returns for Season Six on Friday, December 10, only on Amazon Prime.
