Marvel Studios dropped a brand new TV spot trailer today for their upcoming film from Director Chloé Zhao – The Eternals. We’ve seen quite a bit through the trailers and images, but this new spot gives us our first look at the Deviant general Kro. It also provides us with a look at how a few of the group members interact with each other and some pretty high epic fight scenes. It may only be 30 seconds, but it is packed from beginning to end.
RELATED: What are The Eternals? Here’s Everything You Need to Know!
The Eternals takes us all the way back to the beginning. A group from the planet Olympia is sent to Earth to fight against the evil Deviants. These god-like humanoid aliens worked together to make Earth safe and then spent 7,000 years silent, keeping a watch. That is until now. It appears that Kro has plans for Earth and the only ones who can stop him are the Olympians.
So far, they have shared that The Eternals takes place roughly eight months after the events of Avengers: Endgame. It also takes place after WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. But it takes place before Spider-Man No Way Home. This makes me think that something happens to our current superheroes within the MCU, which means the Olympians need to come out of hiding. But I guess we are going to have to wait and see what happens!
The cast includes Sersi (Gemma Chan), Ikaris (Richard Madden), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Sprite (Lia McHugh), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Gilgamesh (Don Lee), Ajak (Salma Hayek) and Thena (Angelina Jolie). We highly suggest checking out the brand new teaser spot that we have linked down below! It really does show how well the MCU can blend together epic superhero films with comedic relief and heart.
The Eternals drops into theaters on November 5, 2021. How excited are you to finally see this film? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
