The Equalizer, “A Few Good Women”
A co-worker of Cass, the woman previously seen running away, comes to Robyn (Queen Latifah) because she is AWOL. He says he feels something is wrong because she would never leave like that. Mel (Liza Lapira) and Harry (Adam Goldberg) begin to look into the soldier and theorize what could have happened to her.
Both Mel and Robyn begin to talk about their own experience as women in the military. Robyn mentions her old CO is stationed where Cass was training, so she will contact him to visit. In the meantime, Mel will visit Cass’s parents.

Cass’s parents tell Mel she was there the day before but only for a few minutes to ask for cash. Before she left, she told her mom that the army wasn’t what she thought it would be.
Meanwhile, Robyn meets with her old CO, who mentions that Cass is working on a special project to test new weaponry. He mentions that Cass reminds him of Robyn and gives her permission to stay on base and ask questions. Robyn thanks him for everything he did for her when she was in the army.
An Omicron Coverup

Harry hacks Omicron’s system and discovers Cass might have stumbled upon a coverup. Meanwhile, Robyn goes through her belongings and finds a photo of her with another female soldier, so she asks Harry to ID the woman. She also finds a note for a scheduled meeting with JAG that day.
We see Cass making a phone call and begging someone on the other side of the phone to step up, but the person hangs up on her. The two men are still looking for her on the street.

Robyn talks to another soldier who knows about Cass’s meeting, and he mentions someone else coming with Cass to the meeting. However, that’s all the information he gives her because he is afraid of the repercussions. At the same time, Harry IDs the woman in Cass’s photo and discovers she also had a meeting scheduled with JAG. The woman, Sloane, was killed in a training accident the day before.
Robyn and Mel meet with Strickland, Cass and Sloane’s supervisor. They ask questions, but he says Sloane’s death is being investigated so they avoid any mistakes in the future. When the two women bring up the JAG meeting, he refuses to give any answers. He only mentions an outsider who audited Omicron, and they said everything was good.
Another Witness
Harry finds footage of Cass stealing a car. They realize she doesn’t look good, so they believe her meeting might not have been about Omicron. Looking into her records, they discover she went to an off-base hospital. Robyn and Mel begin to wonder if she was raped by someone on base.
Other footage shows Cass throwing a cell phone away in an alley, so Mel decides to go to that area to find the phone and see if she can still find Cass. Meanwhile, Robyn talks to the sergeant in charge of Sloane’s training, and he explains what happened the day of her death.

While Mel goes after Cass’s car in case the men who are after her find it too, Robyn meets with Angelica, another soldier Cass spoke to. Angelica doesn’t want to talk about it and tells Robyn to tell Cass to “get over it.” She was also assaulted, but because she is pushing for a promotion, she doesn’t want to be seen as a victim.
Robyn asks Harry to find out if all three women served under the same CO.
Finding Cass

Mel arrives at a warehouse and finds Cass, but the two men arrive after her. To escape, they throw shelves and boxes at them. Mel gets Cass to safety and talks to her about what happened. She mentions she is also a survivor of sexual assault and shares her story with Cass to help her open up.
Cass tells her what happened to her and mentions the same thing happened to Sloane, so they are going to report the man together. Now, she wants to make sure the man is brought to justice because she doesn’t want Sloane’s death to be for nothing.

Robyn comes to her old CO to talk about Strickland, mentioning he raped three women and orchestrated Sloane’s death. The CO defends Strickland, saying Cass is a troubled woman and he is disappointed in Robyn. She walks out of the room, saying she is ashamed of him.
When Mel and Robyn talk about this on the phone, Cass hears through the window and runs away. Mel thinks she is going after Strickland.
Doing the Right Thing
Cass shows up at a bar where Strickland is and points a gun at him. She wants to kill him so he never hurts anyone again. Mel and Robyn arrive to convince her to do the right thing, but she feels there’s no other way to end what happened.
Two other soldiers arrive to arrest Cass, but Robyn’s old CO walks in and tells them to let Cass go. Instead, he orders them to arrest Strickland.
Luckily, Cass won’t face any charges for being AWOL and pointing a gun at Strickland. She tells Robyn and Mel that she belongs in the army. At that moment, soldiers walk by with Sloane’s casket, and they salute her.

Later that day, Dee tells Aunt Vi she called the school, and all they could say was that they checked social media while looking into candidates. Dee believes her arrest might have played a part in the rejection. However, she doesn’t regret it because she would still choose to prioritize her principles over college.
Dante Is Coming Home
Before Robyn started working on Cass’s case, Dante (Tory Kittles) mentioned that his team was heading to Miami, but he decided to quit and stay in New York. To work with NYPD again, he would have to take the opening in Staten Island. Robyn mentions he could return to his old captain or start working for her.
Dante meets with his old captain and asks for his job back, but she immediately says no. Even though he tries to make a case in his favor, she says he doesn’t want him in her precinct because he doesn’t follow the rules. His only option now is to go to Staten Island.

Robyn calls his old captain and makes a case for him. This works in his favor because the captain meets him at Mel’s bar later that night. She tells him about her first partner and how he never played by the rules, which messed up one of her biggest cases. Dante mentions that he also believes in the system, but sometimes, you have to play outside of it. She offers him his job back.
