If you were worried that with the fifth and final season of Stranger Things being the last time you would see Matt and Ross Duffer, you don’t have to anymore. Netflix announced through Twitter that the Duffer Brothers will be back with more exciting content through a partnership with their new company, Upside Down Pictures. And yes, we will be seeing some Stranger Things projects, but they also have other things up their sleeve.

Honestly, we can’t contain our excitement about this. The Duffer Brothers have mentioned that they wanted to continue to tell stories within the Stranger Things world that are separate from the Hawkins plotline. But what we weren’t expecting was to see other projects outside of this realm too. In the Twitter thread, Netflix dropped a few sneak peeks at some projects Upside Down Pictures has in the works.

Of course, Upside Down Pictures will be bringing up that original idea from The Duffer Brothers that we have heard so much about. We know nothing about what is in store for us with this tale, but knowing about the world, we know it will be good. Plus, they have a new stage play set in the Stranger Things universe in the works. Sonia Friedman and Stephen Daldry will produce it. Daldry will also be serving as the director.

Outside of the Stranger Things universe, Upside Down Pictures is also bringing us a new live-action adaptation of Death Note. This isn’t the first time that Netflix has tackled the highly popular manga. But instead of going with a movie, this time, we will see an entire series in live-action. Having seen how well The Duffer Brothers have handled Stranger Things, we have high hopes for this live-action series. The second is an original series from creators Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews. They haven’t shared what the series is, but we are excited either way.

Just knowing that The Duffer Brothers’ Upside Down Pictures will be bringing any new series to Netflix is a win in our books. But even the little tidbits from these four series have us bursting with joy. More Stranger Things and Death Note? And a new series from the creators of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance? Sign us all up! Are you excited about all of these? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
