Supermassive Games has released the first trailer for the upcoming follow up to the popular The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. The new story titled, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is a whole new story from the books found in the Curator’s office. This time we will be exploring the small mysterious town of Little Hope with a history rooted deep in the war against witches and witchcraft.

The town may have come a long way from the horrors of 1692 but that hate still festers within. The new group is made up of a professor and her four college students. The goal, as always, in The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is to find a way to survive to the end. The trailer doesn’t share a lot of gameplay but heavily focuses on the story itself and building on the idea that the fight between man and witches may have been impacted by dark forces on both sides.

As far as mechanics, it would make sense that Supermassive Games will stick to the same type of format as The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan. This would be an interactive survival horror that focuses on having the play solve puzzles and quick-time events. It also means that once a character is dead, there is no bringing them back. I’m also hoping it will keep with the multiplayer capability.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is set to release Summer 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One. If you have not had the chance to play the first one, I highly reccomend giving it a chance!
