Royal lovers, The Crown Season Four is almost here! Vanity Fair released a slew of first look photos on Tuesday, including images of Emma Corrin as Princess Diana and Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher.
According to Vanity Fair, Diana’s introduction in The Crown‘s fourth season delivers a “jolt of electricity” to the British monarchy. Diana began dating Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor) in the late 1970s. When we initially meet Diana in the series, she’s 16 years old. In fact, our introduction to Diana also serves as a first date scene for Charles and Diana’s elder sister Sarah. Of course, history tells us what unfurls next.
“From episode one to three, we see her dynamic before she goes into the palace — and how normal she was, living in her flat with friends … then she’s really transported overnight,” Corrin told Vanity Fair.

Charles began dating Diana after the assassination of his great-uncle Lord Mountbatten (Charles Dance). Diana was 12 years his junior. What follows is a set of contentious relationships for Diana — her relationship with Charles, her relationship with the Queen, and her relationship with the paparazzi.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman) finds herself coming to blows with Britain’s new prime minister, Margaret Thatcher (Anderson). Thatcher was the UK’s first female prime minister, and there’s a reason she was referred to as the “Iron Lady.” It wouldn’t be The Crown without scintillating drama!
Below, you can take a peek at The Crown first look photos. The series stars Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Corrin, Josh O’Connor, and Gillian Anderson. Season Four will be available to stream November 15, only on Netflix.
