The Boys Season Two will premiere in one month, and to celebrate we got another trailer and two new posters. This time Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) plans to take down Vought and save his wife at the same time. Warning: There’s lots of cussing and blood splatter in this trailer.
We know that Butcher’s wife, Becca (Shantel VanSanten), is alive and has a child with Homelander (Antony Starr). It appears that Homelander only wanted Butcher to see her alive and then hid her again. Butcher is determined to find her in Season Two. It also looks like Homelander might be trying to bond with his son by tossing him off the roof of the house. I guess he thinks the kid can fly.
Butcher reunites with his friends Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara). The Boys are number one on the most Wanted List and the Supes are determined to bring them to justice. But the Supes are a huge mess, too. With Madelyn Stillwell (Elizabeth Shue) out of the way, the fight for control of the Supes has already begun. I don’t know about you all, but it looks to me like Giancarlo Esposito is in charge. Just saying. Anyway, Homelander thinks he’s the logical replacement, but he has some competition.
Newcomer Stormfront (Aya Cash) has a knack for getting people excited about a Supe army. Homelander may see her as a threat to his reign. Whatever the case, more Supes is just what The Boys need right now. Not really, but they do have some help in the superpower department. Starlight (Erin Moriarty) is helping Butcher, but she’s still a part of The Seven. I guess it’s like an undercover kind of thing.
The trailer also includes the exclusive sneak peek that debuted at The Boys Comic-Con at Home panel. You know, the one where Butcher impales a whale. It’s so gruesome and sets the tone for the upcoming season. I, for one, am excited to get this party started. For now, I’ll have to settle for this awesome trailer. Watch below and check out the new posters!
