Get ready for all the Vought-approved fun and diabolical antics that only a show set in the universe of The Boys can provide! As reported by Deadline and revealed by the official Twitter account for the show, we now have a title for The Boys’ raunchy college spinoff.

Gen V is now in production, and the cast introduced themselves in a fun video on Twitter. Jaz Sinclair, teased in a Season 3 episode of The Boys, leads the charge by ushering fans into the world of hormonal, competitive collegiate Supes.

Rounding out the cast is Sinclair’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina costar Chance Perdomo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Elana Dunkelman, Marco Pigossi, Alexandra Castillo, Lizzie Broadway, Shelley Conn and Sean Patrick Thomas. Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas serve as Gen V‘s showrunners.

Here’s a synopsis of the series per Deadline:

“Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V purports to be an R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Gamesas the show touts.”

The premise sounds interesting enough, so I’m willing to give Gen V a chance (Perdomo). Plus, The Boys has yet to disappoint me. Season 3 was off-kilter, bloody, brutal, darkly hilarious and poignant in the best way. Despite its young cast, I feel Gen V will stay in the same vein as its predecessor, especially if Eric Kripke keeps his finger on its pulse.
