Nearing the 26th anniversary of the release of Beastie Boys’ 1994 album Ill Communication, director Spike Jonze brings to life the legacy of the infamous hip hop group, who flourished in the 80’s and 90’s.  Former members Mike “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz reunite in front of a live audience to tell an intimate tale about their New York based band.

“The story of three friends who inspired each other and the world.” Diamond and Horovitz go back to their roots, reflecting on over 40 years of friendship and talk about their late friend Adam “MCA” Yaunch.  Yauch died of cancer back in 2012.
