The Boys are back, and things are crazier than before. For starters, they are the most wanted criminals in America. And Homelander (Antony Starr) is ready to bring The Boys to justice. Or something like that. Amazon Prime released the second trailer for season two, and things just keep getting crazier.
The trailer begins with the news report that The Boys– Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), Hugh Campbell (Jack Quaid), Marvin Milk (Laz Alonso) and “this man” A.K.A. Frenchie (Tomer Capon)– are all fugitives now. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) might be feeling a little left out. Of course, Homelander is behind this and Butcher is nowhere to be found. He eventually turns up and proclaims, “Daddy’s home.” He promises he has a plan to get them out of their predicament, but does he really? Whatever it is, Hughie already doesn’t love it.
The rivalry between Homelander and Butcher gets heated. Between the goriness, the middle fingers and milk drinking, we get a glimpse of a lot of action, including the newbie Supe, Stormfront (Aya Cash). As well as OG Supes Starlight (Erin Moriarty), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), the Deep (Chace Crawford) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell). The world needs more superheroes, no matter how awful they can be (i.e. Homelander pushing a kid off a roof). All set to “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”
Based on the comics by writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson, The Boys also stars Giancarlo Esposito, Colby Minifie, Patton Oswalt (in an undisclosed role) and more. You can watch the trailer below and check out the wanted poster.
