If you are anything like us, you have been patiently waiting for more information on our favorite bounty hunters in the Star Wars galaxy. And while we don’t have any news on season three of Disney Plus’s The Mandalorian, we have news for the spin-off! During season two of Mando’s (Pedro Pascal) travels, he came face to face with Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison). And surprisingly he was working alongside season one’s Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen).

But this wasn’t going to be the only time we were going to see the duo! In a post-credits scene during season two’s finale, we were teased with a brand new series. The Book of Boba Fett follows Fett and Shand as they navigate the galaxy’s underworld when they return to Tatooine and stake a claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt’s syndicate.
We learned during season two of The Mandalorian that after the fall of Jabba the Hutt, Tatooine was torn into different territories as clans fought over land and power. I can’t wait to see how the two carve out their own empire. Plus, we will get the chance to explore a darker side to the Star Wars franchise. What clans will they face off against? Who will be joining the cast? Will Timothy Olyphant make another appearance in this new series? We’ve got some serious questions and thankfully we don’t have to wait long!
The Book of Boba Fett will be dropping onto Disney Plus on December 29, 2021. That is only three months away! Hopefully, we will start to get casting announcements, trailers and more in the next few weeks! We’ve also included the new series poster down below with Fett getting awfully comfy on his new throne.
