The 20th Century Studios adaptation of Stephen King‘s The Boogeyman has filled out its cast. According to the initial report from Deadline, David Dastmalchian, Madison Hu, Marin Ireland and Vivian Lyra Blair have signed on to star beside Chris Messina and Sophie Thatcher.
While still dealing with this life-altering situation, the two find themselves the target of a supernature entity. Sad and scared, the sisters’ world changes again after encountering their father, a psychologist, and one of his patients.
20th Century Studios is not the first to adapt King’s short story for film. Other iterations have appeared through the decades between The Night Shift’s release and now.
The Boogeyman has started filming and is currently in production in New Orleans. The film debuts in 2023. It will air on Hulu for U.S. viewers, Star Plus in Latin America and Disney Plus under the Star banner everywhere else.
