We knew we were getting a trailer tomorrow during DC FanDome, but I did not expect to be seeing brand new posters for Matt Reeves‘ The Batman. Don’t worry; we are not disappointed! We are beyond ecstatic between these and the audio clipped shared yesterday, teasing Robert Pattinson‘s warning about the Bat-signal.

The two new posters feature Pattinson’s Batman and Paul Dano‘s Riddler. And even if the posters are toned red and relatively simple, they are highly effective. They follow the black-and-red aesthetic of the film and give us another look at Dano’s Riddler. And he is slowly becoming the best one I have seen yet. It isn’t the same green outfit we have been used to seeing, but a more homemade one with a rain jacket and a note to the Batman. Of course, this jacket could be green, but we shall wait and see.
The Batman essentially takes place during year two of the Batman comic franchise. He hasn’t become the hero everyone knows but is still rather terrifying to the public, who don’t exactly know what to think of him. Pattinson’s Batman is still relatively young and attempting to navigate the line between vengeance and becoming a villain like everyone else. We will also be seeing the villains within the film as they embrace the dark side for the first time. I imagine many of their costumes will feel homemade similar to Riddler’s poster.
Alongside Pattinson and Dano, The Batman stars Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman), Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon), John Turturro (Carmine Falcone), Colin Farrell (Penguin) and Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth). Reeves is serving as director and producing the film along with Dylan Clark. Simon Emanuel, Michael E. Uslan, Walter Hamada and Chantal Nong Vo are serving as executive producers.
The Batman drops into theaters on March 4, 2022. Check back tomorrow for the brand new trailer! We’ve shared the teaser clip and two new posters down below. What do you think about Pattinson’s Batman so far? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
