Director Matt Reeves has been using Twitter to announce casting for The Batman. Usually we know who the actors are going to play. Not this time.
Reeves post a image of actor Peter Sarsgaard to his twitter feed that said, “Oh… Hi, Peter…” with a bat emoji.

Of course the internet is wild with speculation. Most of it landing on Sarsgaard playing attorney Harvey Dent who becomes Two-Face. THR reported that some sources also say a corrupt cop.

9 Times Batman and Catwoman’s Love Was Honest and Heart Wrenching
One clue that gives credence to the Harvey Dent speculation is a picture the Sarsgaard’s wife Maggie Gyllenhaal posted on her Instagram account. It says, “Half way through a shave…” and shows the actor with half his hair shorn off. Is that a clue about Two-Face? We’ll have to wait and see.
