The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes takes place 64 years before the events of the original Hunger Games trilogy. Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) is the last hope for the once-proud Snow family after they fell from grace in the Capitol. He reluctantly agrees to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), the tribute from the remote, impoverished District 12. After Lucy charms the audience of Panem, Snow realizes he may have the chance to change both of their fates.

Additional cast members include Hunter Schafer as Tigris Snow, Josh Andrés Rivera as Sejanus Plinth, Peter Dinklage as Casca Highbottom, Jason Schwartzman as Lucretius ‘Lucky’ Flickerman and Viola Davis as Head Gamemaker Dr. Volumnia Gaul.
