The full length trailer for The Umbrella Academy is here and boy is it a doozy. Based on the Dark Horse comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, the series will be making its debut next month. They’re a dysfunctional family thrown back together to solve a mystery and save the world. No big deal.

The trailer tells us the origin story. In 1989, 43 children were born to mothers who weren’t pregnant earlier in the day. An eccentric billionaire adopts 6 of them, training them to become heroes. Unfortunately, 17 years later their father has died suspiciously. But that’s not all. One of the kids, named 5, had been stuck in the future for years. He’s seen that the world is going to end in eight days. And it’s up to them to stop it.

All of the children have distinct personalities, though all of them seem to share a love of dancing. And though the family is quite insane, they’re going to attempt to stick together to save the world. Even though there’s forces at work fighting against them. How are they going to save the world? Does it have to do with the other 37 children mayhaps? You’ll have to wait and see. The trailer looks like they’re going to have a lot of fun and a very high body count. Check it out!
