They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky and all together ooky in the debut trailer for The Addams Family. The animated feature from MGM focuses on the first family of Halloween as they enjoy their new home. Well, most of them do at least.

The trailer shows Gomez (voiced by Oscar Isaac) and Morticia (voiced by Charlize Theron) as they find their dream home. Soon, the entire family moves in, including Gomez’s brother Fester, their silent but loyal butler Lurch, Grandmama, and Hand. While it doesn’t show too much of the plot outside of the family interaction, it appears Wednesday (Chloë Grace Moretz) isn’t really enjoying things at home. She seems to want something exciting to happen. What could that excitement come in the form of?

The character design for the film is absolutely horrid. Gomez looks like the stress balls where the eyes pop out and Wednesday looks like an eyedropper. Personally not a fan of the design. The voice cast is incredible though so maybe not all hope is lost.
