The Han Solo film has just been full of surprises. Some good, some bad. But we’re lucky to say this is a good surprise. Director Ron Howard took to Twitter and shared an image of some Imperial extras. Picture is pretty normal, nothing out of the ordinary. But then he included a hashtag that blew some people’s minds out of the water.
Tag and Bink was a 4-issue comic run consisting of two Rebel goofballs, Tag Greenley and Bink Otauna, who got themselves into particular situations. Namely getting caught up in the Empire and creating silly situations that. It was a fun, parody comic seeing the characters interact with the main characters of the films. Based on Tom Stoppard‘s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, it was created by Kevin Rubio who responded in excitement for the characters to be brought to canon.

So who’s playing the comedic duo? Jon Kasdan, co-writer of the film, told Rubio in a tweet that he was excited to bring the characters to life with Toby Hefferman. How much of the characters are we gonna see is unclear right now, but we know that Tag and Bink are officially canon! It’s such a fun little gem for hardcore fans and will now bring more fans to the comic series. Want to know more about the duo, you can watch a video by Austin McConnell here.
