The cards and dice for Cagoga and the cards for Devils Roll The Dice, both on Tavern Talk Thursdays March Kickstarter list.

Welcome to Tavern Talk Thursday! We are expanding! What started as a column dedicated to chatting with members of the TTRPG community is growing to talk about all things TTRPG. We aim to continue sharing all the things we love about the community and all the content within. So, consider this a little peek into our favorite worlds and creators as we explore everything we love.

The first two months of 2025 have blown by, and we are firmly heading into the spring season. So what better time to start thinking of some fun Kickstarters to follow? We’ve got dungeons galore, along with tons of cats and a pop star-inspired tabletop card game. Where will your adventure begin?

101 Dungeon Levels

Our first pick for this month is King of Games’ 101 Dungeon Levels. This is a tabletop RPG supplement to help dungeon masters bring variety and randomness to their table. The project includes, you guessed it, 101 detailed dungeon floors with unique layouts and themes that can be randomly dropped into gameplay. And they have really thought about everything. It also includes enemies, traps, challenges and fun puzzles for players. It is a great tool to have in every dungeon master’s back pocket, especially when one is struggling in the creative department. We are also excited that each floor isn’t set in stone, allowing us to build and shape floors we will love with the support of all the additional materials.

Cagoga

Next on our list is Neuroshield Foudnation’s tabletop game, Cagoga. The game itself stems from the creator’s struggles with a rugby concussion and its lasting side effects. It focuses on increasing awareness and educating players on detecting the symptoms of concussions before long-lasting effects can occur. While little is shared about how the game plays, we do know it comes with the cards, a 20-sided die and damage counters. While we usually want to know more, we can’t help but just want to support an incredible cause. Educating the world on the symptoms and long-lasting effects of a nearly invisible condition will only continue to help protect those around us.

Catpocalypse

We love cats. They are mindful. They are demure. And they are humankind’s second best friend. But what if we told you that cats are about to change your TTRPG experience? The Monster Directive’s Catpocalypse is here to flip your spell-casting upside down. In this epic supplement tome, there are over 150 spells ready to show the world that everything is better with cats. The spells themselves are built to be used within the 5E world and follow the same rules as other spells. Except it is all cats all the time. Need to get an enemy to focus on you? Cast Demand Attention. Need everyone to get up and get moving? Cast Mass Wake Up Call. Our favorite part? We can finally play the crazy cat lady we have always wanted to.

Devils Roll The Dice

Our final March Kickstarter to keep an eye on is Devils Roll The Dice from Swift-lovers Mickenzie and Jeremy. The T-Swift-inspired game ends with one player being crowned as the true Swiftie. It features both dice and cards that feature different actions that can either help you or hurt your fellow players. Think on your feet and plan ahead to be the first to collect all the Eras cards and win. There is a level of risk that every dice roller will love, along with a competitive flair to ensure you stay ahead. And really, it is a card and dice game inspired by Taylor Swift and that alone makes us love it.
