According to the Hollywood Reporter, it looks like the Deadpool movie over at Fox is starting to shape up even more, which is good since it’s current release date is 364 days from today.
Former MMA fighter, Gina Carano, has joined the film in an undisclosed role to play opposite Ryan Reynolds’ character of Wade Wilson, a.k.a. the mercenary known as Deadpool. According to the Reporter, she’ll be playing the character Angel Dust. In the comics, she’s a mutant who belongs to the sewer dwelling community of outcasts called the Morlocks and she has the power to crank up her adrenaline, giving her spurts of super human strength. It’s not yet confirmed if this is the exact character they’ll use in the film.
We’ve also got confirmation that T.J. Miller has been cast in for the film. Again, his role is undisclosed currently, but even money says he’s playing Wade Wilson’s tech guru/arms dealer, Weasel.
And lastly, the last part of the report says that everyone’s favorite Russian X-Man with organic steel skin, Colossus, will be in the film in some way. No word on if they will cast the same actor, Daniel Cudmore, or if they’ll find someone new.
