SurrealEstate will live to scare another day! As reported by Deadline, the previously canceled paranormal fantasy series will return for Season 2 on Syfy, the network responsible for its cancellation late last year.
Tim Rozon leads the charge as Luke Roman, a man with a flair for the supernatural that runs The Roman Agency with his crew of specialists. The Roman Agency takes on possessed and haunted houses scaring would-be buyers, eliminating their ghostly threats to sell them on the market.
Besides Rozon, the show stars Sarah Levy as Susan Ireland, Savannah Basley as Zooey L’Enfant, Adam Korson as Father Phil Orley, Tennille Read as Megan Donovan and Maurice Dean Wint as August Ripley. The series hails from creator George Olson.
SurrealEstate closed out its 10-episode freshman season with “The House Always Wins,” airing September 17, 2021. The finale sees Luke and his team confronting their innermost demons at the Donovan house, finally laying the ghosts to rest that incessantly haunt them.

Syfy is notorious for canceling its programs prematurely, and while SurrealEstate is far from perfect, the show deserved the chance to fulfill its potential and blossom. Despite the pervasive rockiness of its first season, the performers and characters were compelling enough to keep me invested. Plus, it’s an exciting concept worth more exploration (Now, if only the network would reverse its decision regarding Wynonna Earp. *sigh*).
SurrealEstate joins Syfy’s veteran programming, including fan favorite extraterrestrial comedy Resident Alien and horror-thriller Chucky. The network’s new shows include the Jacob Batalon-led dramedy Reginald the Vampire and The Ark, a space drama.
SurrealEstate will return for Season 2 in 2023 on Syfy.
