Supernatural is gearing up for its 300th episode with the long-awaited Winchester family reunion. Entertainment Weekly commemorates the event with special February covers and First Look photos at the 300th episode, “Lebanon.”
It’s been over a decade since we’ve seen John Winchester. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is beyond excited about his return. “That’s how full circle it all is,” Morgan told ew.com. “Like a father would be, I’m very proud of the guys. It makes me get choked up because they’ve done so well here. Episode 300? That’s unheard of.”
Needless to say, the Winchester reunion is emotional for everyone. It’s a dream come true for Dean (Jensen Ackles). However, Sam (Jared Padalecki) always had a different relationship with his father. “This episode gives Sam a chance to forgive,” Padalecki says.
John spent most of his hunting time trying to find the demon that killed wife Mary (Samantha Smith). And as a gift to the boys, Mary returned in season 11. Better have your tissues ready when Mary sees John sitting in her kitchen. “Everything’s right in the world in this bubble of time,” Smith, says. “It’s very romantic.”
John is basically brought back by a wish. Of course, everything comes at a price. The price is the return of Zachariah (Kurt Fuller) as well. Zachariah’s presence has a strange effect on Castiel (Misha Collins), so expect to see something different from Cas.
This also means that John will not get to stay long. But maybe it’s just long enough. Check out the EW covers and First Look photos below.
