If there are two things I love in my video games, it is horror and narrative choice drive gameplay. When the two come together, it usually means hours of exciting and rewarding gameplay. This is why I am head over heels for Supermassive Games and 2K’s upcoming title, The Quarry. The teen-horror narrative game gives players the chance to choose their own adventure. Every choice, big or small, will shape how the story plays out and could be the difference between surviving the night or ending up another footnote in the story.
The trailer for The Quarry introduces us to the quiet summer camp known as Hackett’s Quarry. Players will take control of each of the nine camp counselors who celebrate the end of summer in style – with a party. No adults. No Kids. And no rules. So, in true horror fashion, things take a turn for the worst and fast. We can see from the trailer that something isn’t right at Hackett’s Quarry as the counselors are being hunted by blood-covered locals and something far more terrifying.

It is up to us to make the right choices and lead each counselor to safety in this thrilling cinematic tail. Supermassive Games isn’t new to bringing these stories to life. They have had significant success with Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology franchise. So it goes without saying that this game is high on our must-play list. And that’s even before we talk about the incredible talent attached to the project!
The Quarry features an iconic ensemble cast of Hollywood stars including David Arquette, Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Lance Henricksen, Lin Shaye, Halston Sage, Siobhan Williams, Skyler Gisondo, Evan Evagora, Miles Robbins, Zach Tinker, Ted Raimi, Grace Zabriskie and Ethan Suplee. Talk about a killer cast! Who knew how much I needed to have Officer Dewey back on the scene! The motion capture and performances that can be seen within the trailer are out of this world!
The Quarry drops on June 10, 2022, for PC through Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Check out the trailer below! Do you think you could survive the night? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
