Fans of Krypton, this is exciting news! According to THR, the Superman prequel series from SyFy has earned a second season. With all the TV cancellations happening across networks, including SyFy, it made the freshman series a bigger target for being sent to the chopping block. But it survived!

According to the site, Krypton has been the highest watched series for the network since 2014 and the best watched freshman series. Which seems incredible! And it’s a win for DC and their TV outreach. However, the renewal apparently comes at a cost. The decision to renew the series was in-part due to the cancellation of fan-favorite The Expanse. Which is a real bummer for us here at Geek Girl Authority who really enjoyed that series. But fans of Krypton will be happy to hear of it’s return.
