The latest news coming out of the Arrowverse is the development of a new series, Superman & Lois, starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch

If you’re a big fan of the Arrowverse, then this shouldn’t be a surprise. Hoechlin first appeared as Clark Kent/Superman on Supergirl in 2016. He guest starred on the Elseworlds crossover that also introduced Tulloch’s Lois Lane.  The two were last seen in Argo City, awaiting the birth of their child.  

Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created the characters for DC Comics. CW heavy hitters Todd Helbing, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and DC’s Geoff Johns will executive produce. Helbring will also write the script.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Superman & Lois revolves around “the world’s most famous superhero and comics’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”  

The current Arrowverse shows include Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and the most recent addtion, BatwomanBatwoman leads the network into a new generation of Arrowverse shows, as the flag-ship show, Arrow ends latter this season. A female led spin-off has begun filming.  Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara), Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy), and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy Rodgers) lead this new series.
