With the worlds merging, The CW’s Superman & Lois opens “Waiting For Superman” with a daunting message from Chrissy (Sofia Hasmik) over the airwaves urging safety and caution.

Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and Sarah (Inde Navarrette) find out that Kyle (Erik Valdez) is missing. Lana’s youngest daughter revealed her father had just disappeared.

The Kents and Natalie (Tayler Buck) try to make sense of the flickering between Earths. While the world transfers them between worlds, Natalie gets a broken message from John Henry (Wolé Parks). As Tal-Rho (Adam Rayner) arrives on this world, Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) transports to the Bizarro world with Sam (Dylan Walsh).

Just as Lois disappeared, Bizarro Lois (Tulloch) arrives in the wrong world. This arrival gives Natalie the sign she needs to save her father. While Natalie attempts to leave, Jordan (Alex Garfin) and Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) follow, offering to help. She declines their assistance.

Tal offers to save the world in Clark’s (Tyler Hoechlin) stead. When he does, his efforts are futile. Ally (Rya Kihlstedt) drains him. In time, Jordan flies into the void between planets to rescue Tal. With a failed attempt, Clark comes up with a dangerous plan. He asks Tal to throw him into the sun to regain his abilities.

While still trying to find Kyle, Lana learns Kyle may be in Bizarro world. In Bizarro world, the streets fill with Ally’s supporters while Lois and Sam find Bizarro Chrissy (Hasmik). Just as they communicate, Sam disappears, but she finds Kyle.

In the void, Natalie locates John Henry and realizes she missed a crucial part of the message he sent. To destroy the portals, he needs X-Kryptonite. They come up with a plan to use the power from their suits.

To regain his abilities, Tal throws Superman into the sun.

After words of wisdom from Lois, Kyle reunites with his family, transferring back to his world. Sam returns in time as the boys worry about their parents. He offers words of wisdom to assure them of their father’s well-being.

Clark’s plan works, and Superman regains his abilities as Ally nearly attacks John Henry and Natalie. The two arrive on their world with the Kents as Superman encounters Ally.

He separates the merged women with a crushing blow, sending them back down to the farm. With John Henry and Natalie keeping them apart, Superman separates the worlds, touching down in Smallville’s town square.

Later, with all threats neutralized, the citizens of Smallville celebrate Superman as he flies overhead. Clark and Lana reconcile their friendship. In a shocking turn of events, Lois tells Chrissy Superman’s identity, and she vows to keep the secret.

Sarah and Jordan finally talk through their issues. The pair agree to be honest with one another. While Clark and Lois share a sweet moment of dancing, Lana explains to Kyle they will never be the same as they share one last dance.

Back at the D.O.D., Lois visits Ally, wanting answers. To Clark’s dismay, Tal gifts two new trucks on the farm. When the boys receive the trucks, Tal is in Bizarro world, looking for his counterpart’s wife.

A familiar face in the CW Verse arrives. John Diggle (David Ramsey) meets with John Henry, asking for help to solve the mysterious death of John Henry on this Earth.

Lucy (Jenna Dewan) says goodbye to the family, and Clark takes Lois and the boys on an ocean adventure. Clark plans to create a fortress the entire family can visit, promising this is only the beginning.

What a finale! So many things occurred in this episode, and they tied most of the loose ends while giving us a mystery for next season.

I always enjoy the action and the relationship-building in every episode, but this one outdid itself. From Natalie and John Henry keeping my heart racing in the hopes they come out of this intact to Superman launching into the sun and Jordan and Tal taking on Ally, the action-packed moments were incredible.

Although Kyle and Lana’s relationship isn’t on the path he would like, I was glad to see Clark and Lana’s friendship continue after their time apart.

While only a few mysteries remain, I will impatiently await another season of Superman & Lois. This one has been incredible.
