The CW has dropped a brand new promo and photos for their upcoming series Superman & Lois. In the previous trailer, we saw Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) choose to move their family back to Smallville. It shows us that the couple might have lost their jobs and struggled to raise their two sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin). This change of scenery is supposed to give them the fresh start everyone needs.
But now we watch as Clark struggles with the decision of telling his children the truth. That he is Superman. In the new trailer, we watch as he breaks the news to his kids, who question him right away. So to prove himself, he lifts the truck right in front of them. But sharing this truth was supposed to make everything better. But how can you erase years of lying, even if they are done to protect the ones you love. We also see how Clark struggles with his need to be Superman and his need to be a dad.
This series is going far beyond the typical save the world Superman series that we are used to seeing. We are finally getting a chance to dive more into the character and relationships with his family and even friends. How do you help save the world, hold a job and take care of two growing boys who might one day share your powers? Only time will tell.
Superman & Lois will air on The CW Tuesday, February 23, 2021, with an extended 90-minute episode followed by a brand new special Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope. Check out the new promo below, along with the photos!
