Even though we got a teaser trailer for CW‘s Superman & Lois series just a few weeks ago, they have dropped another one on us! This one was shared exclusively through Entertainment Weekly and brings with it more content to help us better understand how the series will go. This trailer takes on a more muted tone, something vastly different than the typical vibe we are used to.

Superman and Lois presumably picks up after the Arrowverse‘s massive Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover and follows Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane’s (Elizabeth Tulloch) relocate from Metropolis to Smallville. The trailer hints that both possibly lost their jobs at the fictional Daily Planet and are struggling to raise their two high anxiety sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin). Returning home might just be their way of trying to start fresh.
But it seems like Smallville isn’t going to give them the fresh start they were hoping for in Superman & Lois. In the trailer, we watch Clark open up to his boys about being Superman, an ominous warning from General Sam Lane (Dylan Walsh) and Superman fighting against a mysterious black armor. Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui) was right when she tells Clark he has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
