The last time we saw Superman was during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. He and Lois Lane (Tulloch) were living on Argo City where Lois gave birth to a boy named Jonathan. The family joined the super team after Argo City was destroyed. Superman was named the Paragon of Truth, only to be replaced by Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer). Once the Crisis was over, the Super Friends were formed and a few things changed for Clark and Lois. With the reset of the universe also came another son for the super couple. That was a big surprise for Superman.
So here we are, the Kents have two teenage sons and their own series. According to Deadline, the couple will give up city life and return to Smallville to raise their boys. In the first teaser, Superman talks about the trials and tribulations that individuals face. Through a montage of photos, we see memories of their life in the Arrowverse and glimpse of what’s to come. There’s obvious tension with kids, no matter who you are. Can you imagine the pressure of being a superhero’s kid? Anyway, Superman says as life goes on, we change and can lose part of ourselves. But what was lost can be found in family.
The Man of Steel and Metropolis’ famous journalist, Lois Lane, come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – parenthood.
Superman & Lois premieres on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 on The CW.
