SUPERGIRL Faces Her Fears In New Season 4 Promo

Supergirl is returning next month! Fans have been waiting for the Girl of Steel to return and she will be soon. A brand new promo from the CW helps raise our excitement but also gives us a bit of hope in the teaser titled “American Alien”. Kara will be facing her fears again and again throughout season 4 with the help of some new friends and some new villains as well.

Kara (Melissa Benoist) introduces us to the footage in a voiceover. “Fear. No matter how much we believe in ourselves, it never really goes away. I think, ‘I’m not afraid of anything.’ And then something chases me back down the rabbit hole. But when once we catch ourselves, we have to jump right back out there.” We see that she’s been telling someone this the whole time and editing suggests that it’s Nia Nal aka Dreamer (Nicole Maines). We see footage of some new characters, good and bad, and dangit if we don’t feel like running out there and conquering the world after her speech.

Season 4 will see a change on the show, namely the departure of Mon-El (Chris Wood). But with the departure of one new character comes a plethora of others, including Maines transgendered superhero and Bruce Boxleitner joining as the Vice President of the United States. Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer) will be “trying to take Earth back for humans”. Even Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) will be upgraded to a series regular! But no matter who is there with her, Kara Danvers will be a shining beacon of hope for everyone. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they take Kara this season and looking forward to all these new characters! Not to mention that suit! It’s so cool!
