The Foo Fighters dropped a trailer for their upcoming horror film, Studio 666 and we have to tell you, it looks delightfully silly.

The synopsis reads, “In Studio 666 the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.”

In the trailer, we follow a Bizzaro World Foo Fighters (Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Nate Mandel, Rami Jaffee) as they tour an Encino mansion to see if it will do for a recording studio. Grohl looks around and asks the band, “Do you get an overwhelming sense of death?” then claps his hands to hear the acoustics. We see horror imagery with each clap and Grohl declares, “The sound of this house is the sound of album 10.

We then get a peek into the band’s writer’s block as Grohl tries to pitch them “Everlong” as a new song and then we see a montage of the band realizing that evil lurks in the house. And, Lionel Richie. Lionel Richie lurks in the house, too. Grohl descends into supernatural possession, madness and murder. But there’s an upside, he discovers a brand new musical note!

Studio 666 looks incredibly fun and we are definitely in. Think Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. Grohl even gives an evil tongue waggle a la the 2006 film.

The film also stars, Jenna Ortega, Will Forte, Leslie Grossman, Jeff Garlin, Whitney Cummings, Marti Matulis and Jason Trost. Studio 666 is out in theaters on February 25th. The film is based on a story by Dave Grohl. Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughes penned the screenplay and BJ McDonnell directs. Check out the trailer below!
