One would think after the release of the highly anticipated 3rd season of Stranger Things, the cast would be treating themselves to a much needed vacation. But that’s certainly not the case for actor Joe Keery who is known for his role as Steve “The Hair” Harrington. He’s been keeping pretty busy. And I don’t just mean tending to his hair. His precious, precious hair.

Over the last couple of months Keery has been releasing music under his new moniker Djo. We have the debut single Roddy, which comes across as almost a diary entry set to psych pop, and its follow up Chateau (Feel Alright), which feels like an ambient lullaby. On Saturday, Keery made an annoucement about yet another single! This one is called Mortal Projections and it’s pretty groovy. This announcement was followed up with some exciting news regarding- drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrum-roll, please?- an album!

Keery’s announcement was short, sweet and to the point: “…putting out an album on the 13th of September, it’s called Twenty Twenty, also setting up some shows in Los Angeles the 27/28th if you wanna come more details coming, thanks for all the listens so far #thanks thanks to you, and to your friends too.” Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited. I adore the singles released so far. Shoegazing and warped melodies mixed with eerie synths? What’s not to love?

Be sure to follow Joe Keery, now known as Djo, on social media for more updates! And check out the brand new single Mortal Projections below!
