The Internet has been buzzing trying to cast big projects lately. Social media has had a lot to say about how to cast Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, the latest Star Trek with showrunner Bryan Fuller and Stephen King’s The Dark Tower to name a few. We even got in on the dream casting action with The Dark Tower.
Well, the Star Trek mayhem will continue for some time (right now with Angela Basset is in the dream lead as Captain – good choice) American Gods now has cast its Shadow and today we heard from the highest source, Stephen King himself, that the big screen adaptation of The Dark Tower has cast two main roles. Idris Elba will play Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey will play his nemesis, the Man in Black.
In fact, Elba and McConaughey got in on the twitter action as well:
It’s official: The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed. #DarkTowerMovie @McConaughey @IdrisElba
