We found her. Carmen Sandiego is… almost here. Netflix is rebooting everybody’s favorite sleuthing computer game with Carmen Sandiego the animated series. And, she has a trailer.
Gina Rodriguez stars as the famous thief. Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) is right beside her as Sandiego’s sidekick, Player. And, there’s a moral twist on this series. Carmen is using her super snatching powers that she was so thoroughly trained for to steal… only from other thieves. She’s going Robin Hood in this one. It looks like a great opportunity for female-led international heist and hi-jinx. Sandiego is a clever theif, witty banterer and action hero in the reboot, and it looks really fun.

There is also talk of Netflix doing a live-action Carmen Sandiego film with Gina Rodriguez continuing in the lead role. It’ll be interesting to see how a live-action film will hold up as a companion piece to the series. Check out the trailer below!
