Hmmmmm…..I feel like something happened over this holiday weekend while I was out channeling my inner hippie by camping, enjoying music and simultaneously battling my tech-addicted self. I tried to figure out how my technology could work and then stay charged in nature. In the end, Mother Nature won and said “NOPE” to all of my attempts. But know that my heart and soul I thought about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Force Friday the entire weekend.
From what I hear Force Friday was hit and miss for most people. A lot of stores were understocked and some fans missed out on that first wave of toys. In truth though, whatever you missed out on, I’m sure you will get a chance to enjoy because at some point, all things will be restocked. Yay!
I have yet to buy anything but these are the items I want after watching the live unboxing event and having seen what my friends have purchased.
Claudia’s Top Five
1. Captain Phasma anything – There is the Black Series figure, the Disney Store figure and the 3.75 inch action figure.
2. BB-8 – The remote controlled BB-8 looks like so much fun. There are two versions Sphero’s $129 version or Hasbro’s $80. Both look amazing and both have gotten pretty good reviews. I think it just depends on what you want to spend!

3. LEGO First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter – This badass looking mothu-f’n TIE Fighter comes with four mini figures and assorted weapons and accessories. Two First Order Pilots, A First Order Officer and a First Order Crew.
4. Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber – Say what you will about if it’s possible for it to work or not, I want Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. I love lightsabers in all forms, even Darth Mauls! I want to walk around in a black cloak and randomly flick out my pretend lightsaber like a true Knight Of Ren!
5. Furbacca – Who wouldn’t want a cutie, tickly Furbacca!
In other Star Wars: The Force Awakens news, John Williams soundtrack for Episode VII will be released on December 18th and you can now pre-order at Universalmusic.com. If you’d like to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens earlier than December 18th plan a trip for overseas because they are getting an early release date of December 16th. In all honesty though, you know theaters will be showing early midnight screenings, so never fear!
If you’d like to get in on some major spoilers check out comicbook.com and starwars.com. Lets just say that Star Wars: Shattered Empire, the first in the comic book mini-series The Journey To Star Wars: The Force Awakens, parallels the time frame of the book Star Wars: Aftermath and has some pretty interesting revelations that follow The Battle Of Endor and fills in the gap between then and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars: Shattered Empire is out today.
The App, Star Wars: Uprising which was supposed to be released tomorrow is available to be downloaded now! This game focuses again, like the comics mentioned above, on what happens after Emperor Palpatine dies and The Battle Of Endor. You can create your own character, go on missions and play real time co-op with other players!
Phew…I think I’m caught up…oh, 99 days until Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
