The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is finally upon us and fans of the beloved Star Wars franchise know what is coming. The series originally ran for six seasons after a theatrical film introduced fans to a story that takes place during the time between Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The sixth season, which many believed would be the final one, aired back in 2014 after leaving Cartoon Network for Netflix.

Back in July 2018 during SDCC, Lucasfilm announced it would bring the series back for a seventh season featuring 12 episodes. However, instead of returning to Netflix it was set to air on the upcoming Disney+. Fans of the series will recognize many faces in the newly released trailer including Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Maul. We also get to see for a brief moment a clearly pregnant Padme and what one can only believe is the carrying out of Order 66.

The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is set to release weekly on Disney+ starting February 21, 2020. If you have not gotten a chance to check out the show, all six seasons are available to stream over on Disney+.
