Happy Star Wars Day! Disney hath blessed us on this Force-ful day with a brand-spankin’ new featurette for Star Wars: The Bad Batch. If you weren’t already excited about this highly anticipated animated outing, you will be now! That’s not a threat, it’s a promise.
Now, in the short featurette, you’ll hear the Narrator (voiced by Tom Kane) introduce us to the Bad Batch, a group of “elite and experimental clones” first introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Their genetic makeup varies drastically from their Clone Army counterparts.
Each member possesses a “singular exceptional skill” that makes them an imposing force to be reckoned with. We’ll see them attempt to navigate the increasingly choppy waters of a perpetually changing galaxy, forever altered by the Clone War.
We see the group in action as they put their immense talents on display. The always versatile, always impressive Dee Bradley Baker lends his voice to every Bad Batch character, Captain Grey and the Clone Troopers. Ming-Na Wen will reprise her role as Fennec Shand. We first met her in The Mandalorian. She’ll make her next live-action appearance as the series lead in The Book of Boba Fett alongside Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett).
In addition to Kane, Baker and Wen; Ness Bautista will voice ES-03, Archie Panjabi will portray Depa Billaba, Freddie Prinze Jr. will lend his voice to Caleb Dume and Ian McDiarmid will reprise his role as Darth Sidious. Star Wars: The Bad Batch was created by Dave Filoni and developed by Jennifer Corbett.
