Star Wars Rebels Season 4 was announced earlier this year at Star Wars Celebration 2017 to an excited crowd. With the second trailer having premiered on September 2nd and season 4’s release date set to be Monday, October 16th, it’s no surprise that we have been waiting eagerly to hear what time slot the show would receive.
In the past, Star Wars Rebels has aired Saturday nights at 9pm. So when Monday was given as the new air date, we expected 9 pm to be the same time slot. But a longtime publicist for Lucasfilm, Tracy Cannobio, tweeted on September 12th that the Rebels premiere would air several times on Monday, including the usual 9 pm time slot.

To clarify, #StarWarsRebels S4 premieres will air multiple times on Mondays including 9PM (which is when I'm guessing most will watch). ; )

Now this sent fans for a loop! Multiple air times is uncommon (multiple not meaning an encore airing of an episode later on in the same evening). There’s been no word as to why the air date has been moved from Saturday to Monday or why there will now be multiple air times.
Some fans have speculated the multiple air times are because DisneyXD is in a rush to see Rebels out the door, since this is the final season. But without any official comment on exactly why the shift in air date and the unusual time slots has occurred, we can only speculate and prepare for the final season’s premiere!
