It’s #ForceFriday, and Ron Howard takes that seriously. For the occasion, he took to Twitter to give fans some important information. Paul Bettany has joined the cast of the Han Solo Film.
Howard tweeted a picture of himself and Bettany on set of the film with the message “The Outer Rim just got a little bit wilder #PaulBettany #Force Friday”, and “It’s my third opportunity to work with Paul. He’s a blast & so talented,”. The actor and director have teamed up before on The DaVinci Code and A Beautiful Mind. Bettany had an equally glowing response to Howard’s tweets that you can see below.

Love coming to work everyday, and laughing with an old friend. #ronisaprince

According to Deadline, there are fan theories that Bettany is playing the same character Michael Kenneth Williams was thought to play. However, they report that Bettany will, in fact, be playing a completely different character. Who that character is has not been revealed.

If the Outer Rim is getting wider, then we can likely expect Bettany to be playing some shady, smuggler, ne’er-do-well type. I love the idea of Bettany being a really bad guy. He can be terrifying, as we saw in The DaVinci Code. Let’s get mean!
