There’s a new virtual reality experience coming! Unfortunately for Star Wars fans outside of Florida and California, we won’t be able to experience it. But coming this holiday season, Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire will be heading to Disney locations! It’s going to be wild.

According to the VR startup company, The Void, two VOID Experience Centers (one at Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort and one at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort) will open to the public. There, fans can take part in a “first of it’s kind” experience. Guests will be able to move around untethered while interacting with characters and family members in the galaxy far, far, away. Lucasfilm and ILMxLABVR in collaboration with The Void while be bringing the experience for fans to enjoy.

While we don’t have much information on exactly what will be done, the promotion image sees K2S0 helping kids blast down some stormtroopers. While dressed as stormtroopers. I don’t know what’s going on but I love it. A full-body immersive experience is the next big thing in entertainment for consumers. And frankly, it just seems cool. Any excuse to get into Star Wars, right?

Will you be checking out the experience when it comes? Are you excited for the future of entertainment? Let us know! Be sure to come back to Geek Girl Authority for more Star Wars news!
