In very exciting news, actress Birgitte Hjort Sorensen will be joining the esteemed cast of the next installment of the Star Wars movies, Star Wars: Episode 8. Title is yet to be determined but has acquired the working title, “Space Bear” and I think I speak for us all….yes, we want to see that Space Bear movie!
You might remember Sorensen in Game Of Thrones. (GOT SPOILER -Season 5) The Wildling badass named Karsi, who met her demise all too soon in the best episode of Season 5 (“Hardhome“) and then turned into a White Walker. I had hoped that that character would have some more “life” but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Sorenson was also brilliant in Pitch Perfect 2 as Kommissar.
Fine, enough about Game Of Thrones! Ok, just a bit more…..Birgitte joins some other GoT alum who have crossed over to the Star Wars world like Max Van Sydow, Jessica Henwick and Gwendolyn Christie.

The actress will be playing a member of the Knights of Ren, a dark side organization that operates under the command of Snoke, the Supreme Leader of the First Order – dorksideoftheforce.com
What?! She’s going to a be Knights Of Ren?! That is pretty amazing and….I kinda want to see Phasma battle her character, right?!
Filming is underway for Episode 8 and all of the cast, with the exception of Harrison Ford, has returned and made their way to Croatia!
Star Wars: Episode 8 will premiere December 15th, 2017.
