Star Wars Ep 7 has added Oscar Winner Lupita Nyong’o and Game of Thrones Star, Gwendoline Christie. They have not released what parts these amazing women will be playing.
I know that Gwendoline Christie is currently filming the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay 2 movie, so she is going to be busy as all get out this year. Yay for Brienne of Tarth! Yay for Tall Women (says the 6 foot writer of this piece).
Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm said in a statement, “I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII. It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape.”
In addition to these kickass ladies, the “extraordinarily talented ensemble” of Star Wars Ep 7 that Kennedy speaks of includes: John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Max Von Sydow, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.
