We got exciting news for The Mandalorian‘s third season during the first day of the Star Wars Celebration 2022. And it’s that the series will be returning to Disney Plus in February of 2023! Many were expecting to see Mando (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu return later this year, but February 2023 is better than never. It has been nearly two years since season two was released, but thankfully we got the chance to see our favorite bounty hunter dad pop up in The Book of Boba Fett.

A lot has happened in The Mandalorian since we first met the grumpy bounty hunter. He acquired a new charge in the form of Grogu, has made new friends across the galaxy (and plenty of enemies) and is now the wielder of the Dark Saber. And while yes, these will be what drives most of the action in season three, there is one crucial piece of information that seems to be guiding their way. Mando removed his helmet during season two and allowed another person to see his face. Well, more than just one. Quite a few, actually.

During The Book of Boba Fett, he admits this wrongdoing, and now it seems that he needs to head to Mandalore and request forgiveness for his transgression. So, it would seem that season three of The Mandalorian is taking Mando home. I have a terrible feeling that this will require him to either choose to continue the path of the Mandalorian or keep his friendship with Grogu. Plus, having the darksaber will put a rather big target on his back.

We still have quite a bit of time before The Mandalorian‘s return to Disney Plus. Hopefully, this means more news, trailers and images! It also gives us time to binge the first two seasons over again! What are your theories for season three? Let us know in the comments below and on social media!
