Yesterday, Paramount Plus dropped the first full trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Trekkies, it’s out of this world. The trailer introduces fans to the entire bridge crew. WOO-EEE!
The Strange New Worlds full-length trailer was released to kick off Star Trek’s First Contact Week. Strictly speaking, First Contact Day is on April 5, 2063. Every die-hard Trekkie knows it’s the day the Vulcans first came to Earth. After Dr. Zefram Cochrane’s historic launch in his Phoenix spacecraft, the Vulcans appear at his base camp in Boseman, Montana.
Could Cowboy Captain Pike be hiding out in Boseman, Montana, when he is contacted by Starfleet saying that he needs to return for an essential mission?

After learning of his inevitable death in Star Trek: Discovery, it appears that Anson Mount‘s Captain Christopher Pike went to live at home, home on the mountain range, to deal with the terror of being confronted with his death (for psychology nerds, check out terror management theory). However, throughout the series, Cowboy Captain Pike learns to accept his death anxiety. To the point where he says, “I love my job.”
In addition to Mount, Strange New Worlds stars Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Babs Olusanmokun as Doctor M’Benga, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortega and Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh. Then, in Season 2, Paul Wesley will play the iconic Captain James T. Kirk.
