It’s been a long road getting from the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 finale to here. But finally, the teaser trailer for Strange New Worlds Season 3 has beamed in. Better yet, it gives us an idea of when we’ll get to stream the third season for ourselves. Read on for all the details we know so far and to watch the teaser itself.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3
The long-awaited Strange New Worlds Season 3 teaser trailer promises another batch of exciting and experimental episodes for the U.S.S. Enterprise crew under Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount). This trailer gives us our first look at Rhys Darby in the show. It looks like he might be playing a familiar character from Star Trek: The Original Series. And speaking of familiar: Is that Patton Oswalt as a Vulcan?

The teaser trailer also gives us our first look at the murder mystery episode directed by Jonathan Frakes. First teased at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, this episode apparently puts the crew into a 20th-century murder mystery thanks to a holodeck. In another episode, it seems as though the crew is transposed into a retro sci-fi reality. And that’s not to mention live-action Edosians, analogue phones, more Klingons … and maybe a zombie? Plus, we’re not done with the Gorn (or their ships) just yet!
Strange New Worlds also stars Ethan Peck (Spock), Rebecca Romijn (Una Chin-Riley), Christina Chong (La’An Noonien-Singh), Celia Rose Gooding (Nyota Uhura), Melissa Navia (Erica Ortegas), Carol Kane (Pelia), Martin Quinn (Scott “Scotty” Montgomery), Paul Wesley (James T. Kirk) and Melanie Scrofano (Marie Batel).
